The Impact of National Refugee Cuts on Franklin County, Ohio
This longform reported piece is the product of a semester-long assignment during my final year at The Ohio State University. Each student was tasked with selecting a local issue to explore, and I chose to focus on the impact of national refugee cuts on Franklin County. The implications of the policy changes made during the Trump Administration continue to be felt in Franklin County, Ohio, and across the country.
With Franklin County being home to the largest population of Bhutanese people outside of Bhutan, the rapidly depleting resources for refugees is a striking force within this community.
